(Wedding Cakes have a Contract and require a 35% non-refundable deposit to book.)


How to Order or Request Quote:

Batter Cakes is owned and operated by a single person, due to the current demands and business growth, I'm trying to simplify the ordering process to save time, and to also be able to provide you with a quick and accurate quote!

Once you've been quoted, you will be sent a link to fill out an online order form, once the form is submitted, the next page will direct you to our terms and conditions. Typically in 3-7 days, you'll receive an order confirmation from me including all cake and billing details.

  • Deposit: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a spot on our schedule. Your date will be held for 48 hours after you decide you would like to hire Batter Cakes for your event. Your order will NOT be put on the schedule until the deposit has been received.

  • Final Payment: Final payment is due 7 days prior to your event. We cannot begin production on your order until it has been paid in full. We understand that sometimes things happen, and that’s okay, just please reach out to us and let us know when you will be able to make payment, however if no communication is made regarding final payment, your order will be subject to cancellation. A final warning will be issued, giving you 24 hours to respond prior to your order being cancelled. No product will be delivered or allowed to be picked up unless it has been paid in full, NO EXCEPTIONS.


  • Accepted Payment Methods: PayPal is used for invoicing. You do not need a PayPal account to pay through PayPal. You will receive an email with a link to click to submit a credit card payment through PayPal’s secure server. We also accept Venmo, CashApp and ApplePay. Checks are only accepted for deposit and final payment if they are received 10 days before your event. No checks will be accepted as payment at delivery or pick up.


  • Booking History: Any previous customer with a history of late payment without communication, non-payment, no-show for pick up, or last minute cancellation may be required to submit payment in full before being added to the schedule. If the order is cancelled at least 7 days before the event, a 50% transfer credit will be issued to be used on a future order with Batter Cakes, after that, the payment is non-refundable.

Cake Design:

  • Any images provided to Batter Cakes for design are considered inspiration for cake design. Due to varying techniques, style, skills, tools and materials available to different designers, exact replicas of a supplied image is almost impossible. Any variations to the cake design will not disrupt the integrity of the theme and style of the cake requested. Batter Cakes has an excellent reputation for meeting and often exceeding expectations when provided inspiration images.

  • Custom Designs. Batter Cakes loves to create unique cake designs to make your event extra special! I have created cakes from napkins, invitations, party decorations, movies, shows, pages from a children's book, and even from being given details about the guest of honor's personal likes and/or career. For an additional $5, we will also provide you with a sketch of your custom designed cake. A rough sketch can also be provided at no additional charge if you do not want the upgraded sketch. Images of custom sketch and full design details will not be shared with you until deposit has been paid. Batter Cakes prides itself on our creativity and hard work and we ask that our sketches and unique design ideas are not shared with other bakers to shop for a lower price.

  • FONDANT: I just wanted to take a moment to address fondant, since I get asked about it so often, and because I'm often asked to omit it if possible. First, I would like to say that, as with most products, quality is very important, and it is very true with fondant! Most clients that I have worked with that say they don't like fondant, change their mind when they try a sample of the brands that I use. Most amateur and hobby bakers will use Wilton or Fondarific brands because they are readily available for purchase at any Walmart store. I have tasted both and will agree that they do not taste good at all, quite awful in fact. Which is why I use professional, high quality fondant that I special order from an online restaurant supplier. I use Satin Ice Fondant, this is Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Nut Free. We also use Renshaw Fondant, which is hybrid fondant that is made with white chocolate in conjunction with the other ingredients. Renshaw fondant is Gluten Free and suitable for vegetarians, however it's label states that it is produced in a facility that also processes nuts. Both brands taste absolutely delicious! Of course fondant is not for everyone, and its main use is for the overall look of the cake. Fondant is an addition to the outside of the cake only, it does not replace buttercream, and never affects the way the cake tastes as it does not come into direct contact with the cake. Some cakes will require the use of fondant, however, with most I can do the main icing in buttercream and only use fondant for decorations. 



  • Delivery: Our Delivery schedule is coordinated about 2-4 days prior to your event. Events being held at an event venue in need of a specific delivery time will be accommodated first. All deliveries going to private residences will be scheduled around those deliveries. Batter cakes offers very reasonable delivery rates and delivery is highly recommended for cakes 3 tiers and larger and is required for structured 3D cakes.

  • Pick-Up:  When the delivery schedule has been made, we will notify you of available pick up time windows. Please select a 15 minute window in the provided times to schedule pick up. Please be aware of the drive time to our location and try to be on time, our location is near Pinnacle Way and Greenfield Ln Castalian Springs, TN 37031. Please click the link to check your drive time. Since we are a home bakery, we do not publicly publish our address for privacy and security reasons, our exact address will be provided during the ordering process. Typically being a little late is not an issue, however if you are late and I must leave for a delivery, pick up will have to be rescheduled for when I return from delivery. 

  • Meets: Meets may be scheduled in advance and are subject to a delivery charge based on location of the meet. It is ideal to arrive a few minutes before our scheduled meet time, especially in warmer months. If you are not there within 10 minutes (5 minutes in warmer months) of our scheduled meet time, I may have to leave if I have another order on board to deliver. You will be made aware if I am traveling with another order, that may require me to leave if you are late 

  • Safely transporting your cake:  Please have a flat spot that is clear of debris that could shift or fall on your cake. Floorboard, trunk or cargo area are the best places. If a cake needs to be transported on a seat, please bring a towel so that we can offset the bucket seat and keep the cake level. It is not recommended for a passenger to hold the cake during transportation. While driving it is important to avoid sudden maneuvers such as hard breaking, fast acceleration, or making sharp turns at higher speeds. These types of moves can cause your cake to shift or even fall over resulting in damage to your cake. Batter Cakes is happy to help load your cake and help ensure it is in the safest place available. Once a cake leaves Batter Cakes’ possession, we are not liable for the care and condition of your cake.
